JVC Firmware Update for D-ILA Projectors

Revolution in Picture Quality: JVC Firmware Update for D-ILA Projectors
Revolution in Picture Quality: JVC Firmware Update for D-ILA Projectors

JVC has announced the release of a firmware update for its top-end D-ILA projectors.

Unveiled at CEDIA 2023 in September, this key update is available to users free of charge and includes the second generation of Frame Adapt HDR technology. It allows you to adapt the picture to HDR10 content, analyzing and optimizing the dynamic range for each scene in real time. With the help of an improved algorithm, it is now possible to suppress the excessive brightness of white while maintaining the saturation of other colors and achieving a more vibrant and three-dimensional HDR image.

In addition, the new firmware provides the ability to save device settings to a USB drive and increases the number of light source settings from three to one hundred steps, providing more precise light control for projectors with JVC’s BLU-Escent laser technology.

Models that will benefit from the update include the DLA-NZ9/RS4100, DLA-NZ8/RS3100 and DLA-NZ7/RS2100. You can download the update on the company’s official website.
