The BenQ W2720i is a new projector that uses artificial intelligence

BenQ has launched the new BenQ W2720i projector. The company guarantees exceptional 4K HDR visuals, incorporates artificial intelligence features, and offers an easy way to convert not just the living room but any space into a projection area.

The standout feature of this model is the AI Cinema Mode, which is seamlessly integrated into the new product. This mode allows for effortless adjustments and, as claimed by the manufacturer, delivers exceptional image quality. It is designed to provide an easy entry point for beginners in the projector market. The projector automatically responds to surrounding light conditions and modifies the image based on the content being viewed, ensuring optimal performance in various lighting environments tailored to individual preferences. This innovative technology eliminates the need for any prior knowledge of color calibration to achieve high-quality visuals.

BenQ’s CinematicColor technology guarantees remarkable color precision. The development of this new model is backed by the company’s extensive expertise in color calibration, supported by a specialized team trained and certified by THX and ISF organizations. This expertise ensures that the projector adheres to the standards set by commercial digital cinemas, including DCI-P3 color coverage. Each unit comes with a factory calibration report, confirming a color temperature of D65 and a color accuracy of Delta E<3, resulting in vibrant and true-to-life colors. In addition to CinematicColor technology, the projector also features BenQ HDR-PRO, which includes multi-level light control along with Global Contrast Enhancer, Local Contrast Enhancer, and Dynamic Black technologies, all while supporting the HDR 10+ standard.

The BenQ W2720i features an environmentally friendly LED light source, highlighting the growing significance of Solid State Lighting (SSI) in home theater projectors. SSI provides several benefits compared to traditional lamp-based projectors, such as superior color accuracy, extended lifespan, and quiet operation. With a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours, it minimizes the need for frequent lamp replacements, thereby lowering maintenance and operating expenses while delivering a consistent, high-quality viewing experience over time.
