Zhong Yi Optics Launches Fast Mitakon 65mm 1.4 Lens for Hasselblad X System Users

Zhong Yi Optics announces the launch of ‘XCD’ optics, starting with a 65mm f/1.4 lens originally designed for GFX medium format cameras. The Mitakon 65mm f/1.4 should be the first f/1.4 lens for the Hasselblad X system with low-light capability and greater depth of field control. Given the medium format, the 65mm lens provides a field of view equivalent to 50mm.

The lens features high-quality extra-low dispersion elements for crisp, detailed images. The enlarged focus ring provides control over focus, making this lens ideal for photographers seeking optimum image quality in difficult shooting conditions.

Excellent portrait lens

The Mitakon Speedmaster 65mm f/1.4 lens offers a perspective similar to the human eye. With a medium format sensor and a 50mm field of view, this lens delivers an immersive experience. The lens is the first f/1.4 aperture for Hasselblad X XCD system cameras.

When used for portraiture, it provides unparalleled control over depth of field, allowing you to capture the subject separated from the softly blurred background. These features make the Mitakon Speedmaster 65mm f/1.4 lens the perfect tool for photographers looking to create stunning, highly artistic portraits.

Oily smooth bokeh

The Speedmaster 65mm f/1.4 lens from Zhong Yi Optics is capable of producing the characteristic buttery-smooth bokeh effect. This is achieved through the use of nine circular aperture blades that create a rounded bokeh effect around light sources in the photo. In addition, the lens can paint a softly blended background, reminiscent of oil in texture and appearance.

Great image

The Speedmaster 65mm f/1.4 delivers exceptional image quality across the frame, even when wide open. The lens consists of two extra-low dispersion and two high-refractive elements, positioned for optimum sharpness and clarity. As a result, the lens is capable of delivering images with crisp detail, delivering the highest possible resolution at the edges of the frame.

Robust case and build quality

Metal housing and aperture and focus rings with precise scales. The lens has a large focusing stroke, which improves focusing accuracy. Plus, a specially designed lens hood helps minimize flare and ghosting. Comes with a leather box.

Focusing

The Mitakon Speedmaster 65mm f/1.4 lens differs from other XCD lenses in its focus design, which allows smooth focus adjustment without changing the lens barrel.
