Yongnuo YN 50mm F1.8 DA DSM II, a new lens version for Sony crop cameras

The Chinese company Shenzhen Yongnuo Electric has introduced an upgraded YN 50mm F1.8 DA DSM II lens for Sony APS-C cameras with improved autofocus compared to the previous version. It is already available for purchase on the manufacturer’s website .

Technical features:

  • The optical design consists of 8 elements in 7 groups, including one low dispersion to reduce distortion. Oil-, moisture-, dirt-repellent fluorine coating of the front lens. Diaphragm 7 blades, round.

  • With enough light, the lens produces a soft blur effect. You can adapt to low light conditions and shoot normally with low sensitivity and high shutter speed.

  • Small size, light weight (134g), digitally controlled stepping motor (DSM) and advanced focusing algorithm. The lens has a dust- and moisture-resistant design, a high-precision metal bayonet mount and a gold-plated contact. There is a USB Type-C interface for firmware updates.
