It seems that Viltrox 27mm F/1.2 Pro XF lens coming soon. The new Viltrox 27mm F / 1.2 Pro XF will be presented for Fujifilm X-mount cameras.
The new lens from Viltrox will be supported by an autofocus system using an STM drive. Apparently, it will be the same as in the previously released Viltrox AF 75mm F / 1.2 XF Pro lens (also for Fujifilm cameras). By the way, the cost of this optics was 500 dollars (about 34 thousand dollars at the current exchange rate).
The new Viltrox 27mm F/1.2 Pro XF lens is also dust and moisture resistant. This lens was previously featured on the Viltrox optics roadmap. However, it does not yet have other lenses in the “Pro” line – for Fujifilm cameras.
Detailed characteristics of new items will be disclosed during the official announcement. So far, no date has been announced.
Earlier, Viltrox announced the Viltrox AF 16mm F/1.8 FE lens for Sony full-frame cameras. The optical design of the novelty consists of 12 groups of 15 optical elements, including three aspherical lenses and four lenses with low dispersion (ED).
The difference between this line and the expected novelty of the Pro series is the presence of a display on the lens barrel, and a smaller aperture.
For fast and accurate focusing and tracking of moving objects, the lens is equipped with a quiet STM stepping motor. It delivers smooth and near-silent autofocus. Autofocus supports face and eye detection. The setting information is displayed on a color screen, and the ON/OFF switch allows you to change the aperture without clicking, which is especially convenient when shooting video.
