According to information received from the China Federation of Independent Photographers, cited by foreign media, Sony is preparing to introduce several new lenses this year. The following models are confirmed:
- Sony E 16-80mm F/4 (APS-C)
- Sony E 15-45mm F/3.5-5.6PZ (APS-C)
- Sony FE 18mm F/1.4GM
- Sony FE 16-35mm GM II
- Sony FE 85mm F/1.2GM
- Sony FE 70-200mm F/4G II
It is worth noting that information about each of the lenses comes from different sources, so the degree of reliability may vary. At the moment, the most reliable data is information about the appearance of the Sony 16-80mm F / 4 APS-C lens , which, presumably, will be presented with the A6700 camera .
In addition, one source claims that kits will appear on store shelves, including the Sony A6700 camera and one of two new lenses: 15-45mm or 16-80mm. The official presentation of these new products is scheduled for July 12, 2023, which means that there is very little time left before their official announcement.
Let me also remind you that earlier Sony introduced a second-generation compact camera – Sony ZV-1 II . The first generation of the camera was announced in 2020. The camera has a 1-inch optical sensor with a resolution of 20.1 megapixels and a BIONZ X processor.
