Panasonic at CES 2023 in Las Vegas announced the imminent release of the Lumix S5IIX camera, which will be the development of the Lumix S5II, even more focused on shooting video. Today, the price of $2199 was confirmed, and the company also specified the release date – summer 2023. Coinciding with the release of the new Lumix S5IIX camera, the S5II will also receive a firmware update that will add new features.

The main feature of the Lumix S5IIX camera will be BRAW compatibility, in addition to the ProRes RAW codec. The company also promises extended compatibility with ATOMOS Ninja V, SHOGUN CONNECT and Ninja V+ external recorders.
