Insta360 has released a new action camera model – Insta360 GO 3. Unlike its predecessors, it comes with a case with a screen that makes it look like GoPro and DJI models. The thumb-sized camera is capable of transmitting video to the display in real time.
Recording can be done at 2.7K resolution at 30 frames per second or downgraded to 2560 × 1440 at 50 frames per second. Battery life has been extended to 45 minutes, and with a Pod case, to 170 minutes. And finally, the camera can be controlled without connecting to a smartphone, through the display on the case.
It seems that the company has found the golden mean of the form factor of an ultra-compact action camera – let’s see how this will affect sales. The Insta360 GO 3 is available in three storage options: 32GB for $380, 64GB for $400, and 128GB for $430.
