Fujifilm Instax Mini EVO Hybrid Instant Camera Announced

Fujifilm has announced a new hybrid instant camera, the Fujifilm Instax Mini EVO. The manufacturer calls it “hybrid”, because in a sense, the device combines the functions of a digital camera and an instant film camera. The camera allows you to save pictures to internal memory or to microSD/SDHC memory cards. Thus, the images can be further processed in the future, if necessary.

Fujifilm Instax Mini EVO Key Features :

  • Hybrid digital/instant film camera
  • Works with Instax Mini instant film
  • 10 lens effects and 10 film effects
  • Bluetooth connection with support for the Instax EVO app
  • On the body: effects discs and manual press lever
  • Fixed lens 28mm F/2 (35mm equivalent)
  • Built-in selfie mirror
  • Macro mode
  • 3 inch 460k dot LCD
  • Dual shutter buttons
  • Built-in flash and cold shoe mount for accessories

The Instax Mini EVO instant camera has been developed in the design of a classic camera. At the same time, its body has a number of dials and levers for more convenient and familiar control.

The new camera works with Instax Mini instant film. It will allow you to create images as large as 2.4 x 1.8 inches. It turns out a small card, approximately the size of a credit card. The Fujifilm Instax Mini Value Pack is $37 (for 60 frames). The camera has a print lever that can be pulled to instantly print the selected photo.

The camera uses a fixed lens with an equivalent focal length of 28mm and an aperture of F/2. The lens also has a minimum focusing distance of 9 cm.

The Instax Mini EVO has a built-in rechargeable Li-Ion battery that can power the camera and allow you to take about 100 shots on a single charge. The camera is charged via the USB port in about 2-3 hours.

The built-in internal memory of the novelty holds about 45 shots, according to the manufacturer. However, it is possible to further increase the amount of memory using microSD/SDHC memory cards. Film effects can be changed by scrolling the film control dial.

The rear panel has a 3-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 460,000 dots. It will allow you to more accurately crop the image, as well as make adjustments, including printing. On the cold shoe mount, you can install virtually any third-party accessories: optical viewfinders, LED lights. The Instax Mini EVO also has a 1/4″-20 tripod mount and built-in flash.

The camera can be controlled remotely using an app, and can also be used to transfer images from the camera to a smartphone for printing.

The Fujifilm Instax Mini EVO Hybrid Instant Camera (Black) is now available for pre-order for $199.95.

Earlier it was reported that the Nikon Zf camera will receive an ultra-high resolution shooting mode in a retro camera design. It is also reported that the novelty will receive improved autofocus compared to the Nikon Z5 / Z6 II models. At the top of the camera body is a small LCD display that displays the aperture value.
