Cosina has announced the Voigtländer NOKTON 55mm F1.2 SLIIs , a standard manual high-aperture lens for Nikon F AI-S cameras with electronic contacts that allows exposure to the camera. It is intended for those photographers who value Voiglanders and Noctons for their unique bokeh and patterns and are willing to forego autofocus for that.

The design of the lens is in the retro style of rangefinder cameras of the 1960s.

Peculiarities

Expressiveness only found in a fast lens

At an open aperture, the effect of highlighting the object from the background due to strong blur is achieved, and already at F4, the lens demonstrates extremely high sharpness across the entire screen.

Nostalgic and functional design

The body is metal. The focus and aperture rings have high-quality knurling and special finger grooves for added ease of use. Not only is it nostalgically beautiful, but it also combines functionality that enhances the enjoyment of manual control.

Manual focus for reliable focus performance

The all-metal focusing mechanism is precision engineered and adjusted, and coupled with the use of a high quality lubricant, provides moderate torque that adds to the feeling of smooth operation. All this allows you to very finely adjust the focus.

Optical design

The NOKTON 55mm F1.2 SLIIs optical system has a traditional layout and 7 lenses in 6 groups:
