Eversolo has released the new DMP-A8 , a network player and DAC of the highest quality and incredible versatility . A true centerpiece of a modern hi-fi system, it offers a wide range of options, from playing files locally to accessing your music library from network devices or your favorite streaming apps. The carefully thought-out design also ensures the clearest and most accurate sound reproduction possible.
The DMP-A8 uses the proprietary EOS (Eversolo Original Sampling-rate Audio Engine) operating system, which supports audio output at any sampling rate. In other words, when playing any audio files, you can completely bypass the SRC limitation in Android, supporting audio transfer from third-party applications for perfectly accurate playback.
The DMP-A8 supports virtually all available high-definition file formats, including CD (FLAC, WAV, APE), DSD512 (.dsf, .dff, .iso, .dst), as well as stereo and multi-channel streams.
On the front panel of the device there is a magnificent large touch 6-inch Full HD LCD display. It has a superb interface designed with excellent ergonomics in mind for smooth and intuitive operation. You’ll find that accessing music and the DMP-A8’s many features is easy.
The DMP-A8 can be used as a digital player, connecting to a variety of high-end DACs via I2S HDMI, USB, optical or coaxial outputs. As a DAC, it also has plenty of digital inputs: two coaxial, two optical, and USB-B for connecting a computer or smartphone. As a high-performance preamplifier, the device is equipped with a balanced XLR input and an unbalanced RCA input. Additionally, the DMP-A8 features Bluetooth 5.0 for easy wireless connection to a wide range of sources. Finally, the DMP-A8 can be connected directly to powered speakers or a power amplifier via unbalanced RCA outputs and balanced XLR outputs. The delivery package is completed with a trigger output that allows you to integrate the DMP-A8 into the automatic ignition circuit.
Featuring a third-generation XMOS XU316 USB interface, the DMP-A8 is faster and has higher throughput, delivering lossless signal transmission even for high-resolution streams. The DMP-A8’s USB ports support streams up to DSD512 Native and PCM 32bit 768 kHz.
To accurately reproduce music in the smallest detail, the DMP-A8 is carefully designed. As a result, it provides incredible measurements.
The DMP-A8 also features a powerful DSP processor, featuring DSP volume control, parametric EQ, FIR filters, HPF/LPF filtering, bass boost, compressor and delay control.
The DMP-A8 provides access to popular music streaming platforms and web radio stations such as Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer, Amazon Music, Apple Music, HighResAudio and Paradise Radio, allowing you to enjoy music without restrictions.
As a streamer, the DMP-A8 supports Tidal Connect and DLNA data protocols, as well as many other streaming services. This makes it easy to enjoy music from a streaming application by transferring it to the DMP-A8 over a local network. Moreover, the sound quality is perfectly preserved.
The DMP-A8 supports a wide range of network protocols, including NFS, SMB v1/v2/v3 and UPnP/DLNA, allowing you to browse and play music stored on a NAS or network device connected to a local network. Even high-resolution audio streams are reproduced without problems.
A mobile control application for Android and iOS was developed specifically for the DMP-A8. In addition to basic playback control and management of local system settings, the application provides asynchronous access to music library data, system applications and menus. It also allows you to access streaming services directly through its interface.
The package also includes an infrared and Bluetooth remote control. The WoL (Wake on LAN) function is supported, allowing you to turn the device on and off remotely from the network (requires a connection to a wired network).
The DMP-A8 DAC settings include 6 digital filters with different modes to change the sound reproduction according to your preferences.
Numerous displays with measuring instruments and audio spectra provide a pleasant and aesthetically pleasing visual experience.
The Eversolo DMP-A8 chassis is made from aircraft-grade aluminum, CNC machined with the highest precision to give the device extra strength. The matte front panel and anodized body create a beautiful combination of classic and modern.
The built-in M.2 NVME SSD slot is accessible from the bottom of the device, allowing you to quickly and easily install an SSD (sold separately) without opening the device completely.
