Vivo Y36i unveiled with Dimensity 6020 processor and 4 + 4 GB RAM for $170

Vivo has introduced an inexpensive smartphone Vivo Y36i. Features include 4 GB of physical RAM and 4 GB of virtual memory, a capacious battery and, of course, cost. In terms of design, there are no frills here – the model resembles most modern smartphones.

VIVO Y36I Specifications:

  • Display: 6.56 inches, IPS, resolution 720 × 1612 pixels, refresh rate 90 Hz, maximum brightness 840 nits.
  • SoC: MediaTek Dimensity 6020 (eight cores, 2.2 GHz, Mali-G57 MC2 GPU).
  • RAM: 4 GB physical + 4 GB virtual.
  • Built-in memory: 128 GB.
  • Rear cameras: 13 MP (main) + anti-strobe sensor.
  • Front camera: 5 MP.
  • Battery: 5000 mAh with support for 15 W charging.

A rear-mounted anti-strobe sensor is used to detect the frequency of the light source to prevent an artifact called water ripple. The Vivo Y36i smartphone was released in purple and gold colors. The new product is priced at 1199 yuan or about $170.
