Samsung has announced the launch of the One UI 6 beta for the Galaxy S23 series of smartphones. Starting this month, the update is available in the US, South Korea, and Germany. For the first time, the software for mobile devices of the South Korean giant is based on Android 14. This message was later deleted by Samsung, although the company still confirmed that the firmware will only be available for the Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra models.
The page was quickly removed, but the company confirmed that the Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra smartphones will receive the update.
One UI 6 includes interface changes, as well as built-in apps and some system tweaks. One of the most notable visual updates is related to the Quick Settings panel. Separate large Wi-Fi and Bluetooth buttons appeared here, and below all other buttons there is a brightness slider with additional options. All this takes up the entire screen and visually resembles the control center on iOS and ColorOS. The expanded Quick Settings panel in One UI 6 can now be accessed with a single swipe down from the top right corner.
One UI 6 looks minimalist. Many elements have been updated and become more modern. In addition, the new version of the shell allows you to change the wallpaper depending on the current time or the selected mode. For example, a photo of a forest when the smartphone is in sleep mode. A new camera widget has also appeared, with its help you can pre-specify the storage location for certain photos.
