OnePlus has finally released its highly anticipated flagship camera phone, the OnePlus 12. The smartphone has received a number of innovative advanced features, as well as a major update to the main camera system. The main module of OnePlus 12 is equipped with a new generation 50 MP matrix – Sony LYT-808 (1/1.4-inch optical format).

The second module is a 48 MP sensor (model Sony IMX581, 1/1.7-inch optical format), which works with ultra-wide-angle optics. The third camera is a 64 MP OmniVision OV64B sensor with periscope optics, which will provide 3x optical zoom. Hasselblad took part in the process of setting up the cameras of the new smartphone.

The smartphone also has an ultra-bright display with a peak brightness of 4500 cd/sq.m. The display resolution is 3216×1440 pixels, the diagonal is 6.82 inches, and the refresh rate is 120 Hz. The available PWM adjustment frequency is 2160 Hz. The display is protected by tempered Corning Gorilla Victus Glass.

One of the main innovations in OnePlus 12 is the latest generation mobile processor – Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. IT is installed in all flagship smartphones of the latest line, but only OnePlus 12 engineers supplemented it with a 9000 mm 2 vapor chamber . Thus, the smartphone became the record holder for performance among all mobile devices. In the AnTuTu benchmark, the new OnePlus 12 scores 2.333 million points.

The manufacturing company reported that the new product from OnePlus lasts 1.79 days on a single charge. The battery capacity is 5400 mAh. Supports 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.

The smartphone also received stereo speakers, a thin in-display fingerprint scanner, and a USB-C 3.2 port. There is a proprietary Alert Slider switch, an adaptive vibration motor and IP65 housing protection.

The prices for the new OnePlus 12 are as follows. Model with 12/256 GB – $610 , 16/512 GB – $680, 16 GB/1 TB – $750,  24 GB/1 TB – $820.

The company also published additional examples of pictures taken using the new OnePlus 12 smartphone. On the main module (23mm focal length):

It can be seen that the smartphone allows you to get a fairly sharp image on the main module (with a Sony LYT-808 matrix of 1/1.4-inch optical format).

Now let’s look at examples of photographs taken with a periscope module (64 megapixels, OmniVision OV64B matrix), which supports 3x optical zoom. The first example is a portrait indicating the focal length (140mm equivalent):

The second photo is also a portrait (with an aperture of F/2.6):

An example of a landscape shot taken on the new OnePlus 12 smartphone is also given:

One of the insiders reports that Oppo Find X7 Pro will receive the latest inch sensor from Sony – Sony LYT-900 with a resolution of 50 megapixels. This matrix is the most advanced of all those on the market designed for smartphones.

All four matrices in the Oppo Find X7 Pro model will have a resolution of 50 megapixels. In theory, this will avoid large differences in resolution when switching modules.
