Motorola Edge 40 Pro unveiled with 60MP front camera

Motorola has released a flagship camera phone with advanced cameras and a top-end Motorola Edge 40 Pro processor. Potentially, the device should provide high-quality photo and video shooting due to powerful hardware stuffing.

The Motorola Edge 40 Pro smartphone received a triple main camera with modules of 50, 50 and 12 megapixels (a telemodule with support for 2x optical zoom). The front camera has a resolution of 60 megapixels. Thus, the smartphone selfie camera has the highest resolution among all other modules.

The device will work on the basis of the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, made according to the 4 nm process technology. It scores 1.28 million points in the AnTuTu benchmark and has a number of hardware photo and video processing capabilities.

The Motorola Edge 40 Pro also features IP68 water resistance and a 6.67-inch FullHD+ (2400×1080) pOLED display. It supports ultra-high refresh rate of 165Hz.

The device received a 4600 mAh battery with support for wired charging at 125 W, wireless at 15 W and reverse wireless at 5 W. There are stereo speakers.

The new flagship smartphone from Motorola will receive the Android 13 operating system from the box. Motorola Edge 40 Pro measures 161.16 x 74 x 8.59 mm and weighs 199 grams. For a version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory, you will have to pay 900 euros (77 thousand dollars at the current exchange rate). This price will be for a smartphone in Europe.

Earlier it was reported that the flagship camera phone Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be presented in April 2023. The main module will receive an inch sensor (model Sony IMX989) with a Leica processing system. This module will have a resolution of 50 megapixels. It is currently the largest optical format available for mobile devices. The same matrix was installed in the advanced Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

In addition, the smartphone will receive three more sensors – all three will be equipped with Sony IMX858 matrices (also 50 megapixels). Three modules will be equipped with ultra-wide-angle optics, and telephoto lenses with 3x zoom and 5x zoom. Thus, the possibility of high-quality shooting from any module can become one of the key advantages of Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
