Following the Mate 60 Pro, Huawei decided to announce another model in the series – the Mate 60 Pro+. Externally, the two smartphones are practically no different from each other. The Plus version has the same three holes for the camera and sensors on the front panel and the same main camera module in the form of a circle.

The Mate 60 Pro+ model is not much different in design from the Pro version. Their main difference lies in the specifications

The Mate 60 Pro+ model is not much different in design from the Pro version. Their main difference lies in the specifications.

The basis of the new product is a single-chip platform of its own design – Kirin 9000s. The processor has 12 cores and operates at frequencies up to 3.3 GHz. The Maleoon 910 controller is responsible for the graphics here. The platform is complemented by 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB / 1 TB of internal memory (the latter can be expanded using a memory card).

Information is displayed on a 6.82-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2720 × 1260 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, a PWM frequency of 1440 Hz and a screen sampling rate of 300 Hz. The display supports up to 1.07 billion colors in the P3 color gamut. One of the cutouts on the front panel houses a 13-megapixel front camera, and another has a 3D depth sensor. Nothing is known about the sensor in the third cutout yet.

One of the main differences between the Mate 60 Pro+ and the Mate 60 Pro is the rear cameras. Here the resolution of the main camera is 50 megapixels versus 48 megapixels for the Mate 60 Pro. At the same time, the developers retained both optical stabilization and variable aperture. The new product received a 40 megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (the Mate 60 Pro has 12 megapixels). Only the telephoto camera remained unchanged – its resolution is 48 megapixels.

Autonomous operation is provided by a 5000 mAh battery with 88 W charging support. Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ runs on the HarmonyOS 4.0 operating system. Support for satellite communications and fifth generation networks (5G) is announced. There is protection against moisture according to the IP68 standard. But at the moment there is no information about the cost of the new product.
