ANDROID 15 ALLOWS YOU TO DISABLE THE 60 FPS LIMIT IN GAMES

The second developer preview of Android 15 has already been released, and all enthusiasts are studying it in detail by examining the operating system code. One of the most interesting innovations is the option that allows you to disable the default frame rate in games. In other words, Android 15 introduces the ability to remove the 60Hz limit and thereby enable the maximum frame rate supported by the device.

Currently, Android generally limits frame rates in games to 60 fps. Developers have to enable higher frame rates on a per-device basis. With the new option this won’t be necessary as Android 15 Developer Preview 2 overcomes this barrier and the higher frequency for games will be set at the system level. This option is present in the developer settings section, which is initially hidden, but appears when you click on the build number several times. The new feature is primarily designed to allow developers to test their games at higher frame rates. At the same time, it is available to ordinary users, who can also activate it.

This feature opens up some interesting possibilities for mobile game lovers. Most importantly, users will not have to rely on modified applications, special modules or patches that require ROOT access to unlock the 60 fps limit. We just have to wait until the final version of Android 15 is released to see how this feature works.
