Samsung Galaxy Book Odyssey: First laptop with GeForce RTX 3050 Ti

Samsung hosted the Unpacked event to unveil updated Galaxy Book notebooks. In addition to the super-thin and light Galaxy Book Pro, the manufacturer announced a completely new model called the Galaxy Book Odyssey, and to date it is the most powerful laptop of the South Korean giant.

Its peculiarity lies in the fact that for the first time for this class of devices, Intel Tiger Lake-H processors are used, which will debut only on May 11, as well as the RTX 3050 Ti (or RTX 3050) graphics accelerator.

The laptop turned out to be relatively compact and light, its thickness is 17.7 mm, and its weight is 1.85 kg. The laptop features a 15.6 ” IPS Full HD display, an 11th Gen Core i5 or i7 processor, up to 32GB of DDR4X RAM, and up to 2TB of NVMe SSD.

Odyssey also has a 720p webcam, dual microphones for video calls, a fingerprint scanner in the power button and speakers with Dolby Atmos support. An 83 Wh battery is responsible for autonomy, but the manufacturer did not provide information on the battery life. An advanced cooling system is also installed inside.

In terms of connectivity, there are two USB-C ports (one is used to connect a charger), three USB-A 3.2, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet and microSD. The laptop supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.

The Galaxy Book Odyssey will go on sale in August starting at $ 1,400 for the base version.
