Topping has released a new model of digital-to – analog converter and headphone amplifier DX5 Lite , also capable of working as a pre-amplifier.
The DAC unit in the model is built on a dual ES9068AS chip from ESS Technologies , the XMOS XU216 processor is responsible for processing the digital signal coming to the USB port . The device can work with PCM stream 32 bit / 678 kHz and native DSD512 , and the built-in Bluetooth adapter supports LDAC, aptX HD and aptX LL codecs .

A digital signal can also be fed through the optical and coaxial inputs, in which case the resolution is limited to 24 bit / 192 kHz. The headphone amplifier is built according to the proprietary NFCA scheme , there are two outputs for connecting headphones – 6.35 mm and a four-pin XLR .

Thanks to the variable output, the model can be used as a pre-amp when connected to an external power amplifier or powered speakers via RCA or XLR.
