Technics SU-G700M2: Fully digital amplifier for audiophiles

Technics SU-G700M2 amp

The Technics SU-G700M2 integrated amplifier will replace the SU-G700 among the Japanese brand’s products . At the same time, the amp will retain the technologies and ideology of its predecessor. First of all, it is a fully digital amplifier with audiophile sound.

Among the main technologies of the Technics SU-G700M2, the JENO Engine (elimination of jitter and minimization of noise) is retained. The LAPC system is responsible for adaptive phase-to-load calibration, allowing the amplifier to match virtually any speaker.

In addition, the Technics SU-G700M2 amplifier features a high-speed, low-noise AS²PS power supply based on GaN (gallium nitride) field effect transistors and silicon carbide (SiC) diodes. A similar element base was used in the Reference SU-R1000 power supply .

In addition to the MM phono stage, which was present in the previous model, the Technics SU-G700M2 also acquired a high-quality MS phono stage. Moreover, it is possible to switch the phase of one of the channels.

In addition to electronics, the developers have taken care of new ergonomics for the SU-G700M2, whose controls are now similar to the same Reference SU-R1000 reference amplifier. The Technics SU-G700M2, which will appear in Europe from October 2021, received two options for finishing the brushed aluminum surfaces of the case: black and silver.

In the UK, the Technics SU-G700M2 will cost £ 2,200.
