Steinway Lyngdorf has announced a system firmware update to support Tidal Connect- enabled music streaming with Dolby Atmos Music for all of its multi-channel processors, further highlighting the company’s commitment to streaming and immersive sound. With a firmware update, the built-in streaming player in Steinway Lyngdorf multi-channel processors will be able to work with Tidal Connect with Dolby Atmos Music support.

The update allows you to play thousands of Dolby Atmos Music albums specially recorded or remixed by Dolby Atmos Certified Studios to give the listener “a whole new, completely immersive sound experience.” Dolby Atmos Music is available to all Tidal HiFi Plus subscribers.

The new firmware also expands the list of available internet radio stations and podcasts, upgrades Apple AirPlay to AirPlay 2, and updates Spotify Connect. Steinway Lyngdorf components are also now Roon Ready certified.

The software update is now available free of charge for all Lyngdorf Audio and Steinway & Sons multichannel processors , including legacy models:

– Steinway & Sons P100, P100 2.1, P200, P300, P300 2.1, Head Unit Processor
