RØDE which specializes in studio microphones, wireless audio systems and audio interfaces, has unveiled the AI-Micro Pocket Recorder for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android. The manufacturer positions the new product as a basic solution for recording in studio quality. The main calculation was made on those who are engaged in videos, interviews, streams and podcasts.
Technically speaking, AI-Micro is an ultra-compact dual-channel USB interface that accepts USB-A, USB-C and Lightning cables – all included. The inputs are based on standard 3.5mm connectors. Two microphones can be connected at the same time.
A headphone output was provided for monitoring. In terms of quality, the interface is capable of transmitting / recording a 24 bit / 48 kHz signal. According to the manufacturer, this 13 g device is capable of “crystal clear sound without extraneous noise.”
Among other things, it’s worth noting that the AI-Micro is compatible with Rode apps, including the mobile app and Connect for Mac / Windows. This should simplify and improve the content creation process.
In the US, they asked for $ 70 for the AI-Micro mini-interface.
