Pro-Ject has introduced a new model of the CD Box DS3 CD player in the Box series.

Unlike most “digital” components entering the market today, the novelty is designed exclusively for playing Red Book format optical discs . The device is enclosed in a solid aluminum case, and the slot loader transport rests on three elastic supports that protect it from external vibrations. The transport uses a Blue Tiger CD-80 servo , developed by Stream Unlimited . The DAC section is built on a PCM1796 chip from Texas Instruments, and the power supply is placed in a separate case. The weight of the component is 1.66 kg.
