NuPrime introduced the second generation of the Omnia audio streamer , which received the WR -2 index . The NuPrime Omnia WR -2 is a versatile multi-zone audio streamer equipped with Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.2 aptX HD, capable of playing content up to 24-bit/192 kHz from popular streaming services, external USB drives and other digital sources in external DAC mode.
In addition to coaxial and optical digital inputs, the NuPrime Omnia WR-2 features an HDMI ARC port (up to 24bit/192kHz) for connecting to a TV. There is also an analog input on RCA connectors.
The NuPrime Omnia WR-2 Network Player features a digital volume control, allowing it to be connected directly to a power amplifier or powered speakers. In addition, the novelty is equipped with a headphone amplifier – a 3.5 mm minijack connector for their connection is located on the front panel.
The Bluetooth adapter here is bi-directional. That is, NuPrime Omnia WR-2 can both receive content from mobile gadgets and broadcast it to wireless headphones or BT speakers.
The multi-room focus of the NuPrime Omnia WR-2 is expressed in the architectural design of the novelty. All input data, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth data are sent to the CPU stream module for processing. Digital data can be retransmitted to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth audio devices in different rooms, or decoded for analogue output via the line or headphone output.
