NAD M23: Powerful and transparent amplifier

NAD M23
NAD M23

NAD Electronics has expanded its Masters series with the M23 stereo amplifier. The amp has inherited the core technologies of the top streaming integrated amplifier M33 BluOS and is ready to be paired with it in a bridged connection. The power of such a block can reach 700 W per channel at a load of 8 ohms. On its own, the NAD M23 is capable of over 520W into 4 ohm speaker impedance.

NAD Product Manager, Cas Oostvogel, said of the M23, “This is an amazingly powerful and transparent amplifier that delivers a new level of quality and dynamics at every level, and sets a new benchmark in performance and value in its category.”

Like the M33 BluOS, the M23 uses Purifi Eigentakt amplifier technology. NAD uses it under license from Purifi Audio. The manufacturer claims that this “nearly eliminates harmonic and intermodulation distortion”, providing load-independent frequency response. In accordance with the class D output stages, the amp is equipped with switching power supplies.

You can connect to the M23 via balanced XLR inputs and unbalanced RCA inputs. The amp also allows you to select one of three levels of gain and is controlled via a 12 V trigger. Alternatively, you can use the auto-detection of the input signal.

The NAD M23 will enter the market before the end of January 2022.

The NAD M23 Stereo Power Amplifier has an MSRP of $3,500 in the US.
