NAD C 700 BluOS Streamer Amplifier: HybridDigital UcD Technology

NAD has announced the C 700 BluOS streamer amplifier, which, as the name implies, is based on its proprietary multi-room system. Its convenience also lies in the fact that album art, playback options and system settings are displayed on the 5-inch high-resolution color display located on the front panel.

Running on BluOS, the device interacts with local storage of digital audio or takes it from the online platforms Spotify, Amazon Music HD, Tidal or Qobuz, not to mention Internet radio. In this sense, the C 700 copies a model from the Masters series – the M10 BluOS .

The C 700 BluOS is equipped with NAD HybridDigital UcD power amplifiers. The manufacturer promised low noise and distortion for this circuitry regardless of the output swing. In the case of the C 700, the UcD output stages are ready to deliver 2×80 watts continuously and 2×120 watts peak. You just need to add columns.

In addition, a subwoofer can be connected to the C 700, and the low-pass filter settings are available in the BluOS app. Also on the rear panel there are two analog RCA stereo inputs plus coaxial and optical inputs for digital sources.

The HDMI eARC port is also a plus, which makes it easier to integrate the C 700 BluOS with your TV. Another way to transmit the signal to the C 700 is via Bluetooth with the aptX HD codec, and the two-way communication option allows the audio signal to be transmitted, for example, to wireless headphones.

In Europe, the NAD Electronics C 700 BluOS streamer amplifier will cost 1,500 euros.
