Majority Bard and Quadriga: Budget class Bluetooth, Spotify Connect and Internet radio

Majority released two desktop multifunctional audio systems at once – Bard and Quadriga . Both are equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 and Spotify Connect, as well as DAB, DAB+ and FM tuners. In addition, they provide access to internet radio. Both are equipped with USB inputs with the ability to read audio files from memory devices, as well as RCA line-in and a 3.5 mm auxiliary input.

The Bard, the smaller of the two systems, features a pair of 4-inch (10 cm) mid-high drivers paired with a 5-inch (13 cm) woofer. For the resulting 2.1-channel system, the manufacturer claims a total power of 100 watts. Power supply – from an external adapter. On the front panel there is a 2.4-inch color display with a resolution of 320×240. Included is a remote control with the ability to start and skip tracks, as well as adjust the volume.

The older model, Quadriga, in addition to the capabilities of Bard, received a built-in CD player. A larger (15 cm) subwoofer is installed here, with which the device, according to Majority, “delivers deeper bass while maintaining a clear and crisp sound.” The TFT display on the Quadriga’s front panel is almost half an inch larger at the same resolution.

Of the 25,000 Internet radio stations available on the network, the Quadriga is able to store 40 as memory presets. In addition, the system provides an optical digital input. The total declared audio power of 120 W and the operation of the rest of the electronics are provided by the same external power supply as the Bard.

In the UK, Majority music systems cost £160 for the Bard and £300 for the Quadriga.
