Leema Acoustics is set to unveil an entire range of new hi-fi products at the North West Audio Show (June 18-19), ahead of the official 2022 roll-out in a few months’ time.

The Welsh specialist, founded by two ex-BBC sound engineers, will be throwing the covers off the highly anticipated new Quantum line, a four-strong range which has been several years in the making. Entirely designed, engineered and built in the Welshpool factory in Powys, Wales, the Quantum line comprises the new Electron CD player, Positron streamer, Neutron DAC/preamp and Graviton power amp.

The new-look full-width product range has been painstakingly developed under the watchful eye of Leema Acoustics’ co-founder, Lee Taylor, and is priced at around £1,500-£1,700.

Central to the range is the new Neutron and Graviton pre/power. The Neutron DAC/preamp benefits from an MM/MC phono stage, multi-input DAC, plus both balanced and unbalanced inputs, while the Graviton offers 150 watts (8 ohms) of Class A/B power.

The Electron CD player features an ES9018 Sabre DAC and benefits from coaxial digital and headphone outputs. Full details of the new Quantum range are set to be announced in the coming months as full production starts. In the meantime, show visitors can see and hear the new Quantum range in the Mian Audio room (224).
