La Boite Concept, a company recognized for its ambition to merge vinyl record players with furniture design, has launched a new turntable named Square CC. This model features a square form factor with dimensions of 350 x 350 x 110 mm.
The product is marketed as a premium offering, crafted from high-quality materials including walnut and oak wood, leather, and metal. Notably, MDF is utilized solely for the construction of the body frame.
The turntable features a belt drive system and a straight aluminum tonearm, indicating that it is a model from Pro-Ject based on the available images. It comes with an Ortofon OM10 cartridge and a glass platter for support. The sub-platter is affixed to a steel spindle. Users can select between two speeds: 33 rpm and 45 rpm, facilitated by a dedicated switch. Additionally, it is noted that there is a built-in, switchable MM phono preamplifier.
