IZotope has released its second generation Spire Studio audio interface for recording vocals and instruments. The device retains its beveled cylinder shape with a pair of XLR combo inputs and 1/4 ” jacks on the back, complemented by a built-in studio-grade microphone. A headphone monitor output and phantom power for an external microphone are provided.
Like the previous version, the new product supports built-in effects and tools for mixing and mastering based on artificial intelligence. They were complemented by the automatic Soundcheck level setting.
At the same time, according to iZotope, Spire Studio 2nd Generation received improved preamps with less noise and interference. The built-in memory has more than doubled – to more than 8 hours. The battery life has slightly increased. In addition, in the second generation, Spire Studio was equipped with a Bluetooth module.
The second generation iZotope Spire Studio software includes the ability to subscribe to the cloud-based Spire Pro ecosystem (free 6 months). This software includes automatic noise reduction systems, proprietary effects plug-ins and iZotope mastering tools like RX, Ozone, Nectar and Trash. The Spire Studio Controller application for Android is used to control the system.
The second generation iZotope Spire Studio was priced at $ 500 in the US – $ 150 more than the first version. The Spire Pro (iOS only) subscription costs $ 5.
