Ibasso has released a new version of the DC06 portable DAC / headphone amplifier – DC06 Pro . This compact device is equipped with high quality components such as 2 ES9219C DAC chips. These two ESS chips also provide signal amplification. Thanks to them, the DC06 Pro provides rich and authentic sound reproduction both on the road and at home. This new version adds volume knobs, supports new advanced UAC APP features and FGPA feature.
Ibasso DC06 Pro provides clean, stable power, free from noise and interference. The power supply of the amplifier section is divided by a synchronous DC-DC converter, a low-noise charge pump microcircuit and an LDO.
This allows the amplifier section to operate at full power, achieving an output power of 320 mW @ 32 ohms. Overall, sound reproduction is dynamic and transparent.
Windows 10 and Android 5.0 or later support the UAC2.0 protocol by default. However, for compatibility reasons, Android smartphones still use the SRC protocol. When connecting the DC06 Pro, the default volume level is set to maximum. To control the volume level of the device, iBasso has developed a UAC2.0 mobile application with 100-level volume control. It is available free of charge for Android devices.
The DC06 input is a USB-C connector, which has a built-in UAC2.0 receiver and allows you to easily connect a smartphone. For output, the device has an unbalanced 3.5 mm jack and a balanced 4.4 mm jack. By installing the USB driver, DC06 can even be used as a sound card for a computer.
In addition, between the two outputs of the device there is an LED indicator that displays the format of the file being played: blue – DSD, green – PCM, purple – MQA and red – in standby mode.
For the DC06 Pro, iBasso selected a pair of ES9219C D/A conversion chips, one per channel, to achieve low noise levels for precise and transparent sound. These chips also have amplification to provide high power. Moreover, the new chip ensures low power consumption without negatively impacting performance.
iBasso DC06 Pro can decode and play MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) files up to MQA 16x. This file type allows you to enjoy superior audio quality that is as close to the original studio recording as possible, while maintaining a manageable file size suitable for streaming.
