HiBy has released a new digital player R3 II that can also work as an external DAC and headphone amplifier for other devices.

The model ‘s D / A converter block is based on ESS Saber ‘ s dual chip ES9219C and can handle 32 – bit / 384 kHz PCM signals and native DSD256 streaming , as well as decode MQA files . Timing accuracy is provided by a separate clock generator.

The power of the built-in amplifier is up to 380 mW at 32 Ohms, the player has two jacks for connecting headphones – 4.4 mm and 3.5 mm . On the front panel there is a 3.2-inch diagonal color touch screen, the player is running a proprietary HiBy OS operating system . The wireless capabilities of the model include a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi module and a Bluetooth 5.1 adapter, and Tidal, Qobuz and Custom Radio music services applications are preinstalled on the device .
