Diptyque DP107 isodynamic loudspeakers are based on the technologies developed during the creation of the DP77 . At the same time, the new product is 30 cm higher, which is reflected in the scale of the presentation.
The acoustics are made in a two-lane architecture. The high-frequency spectrum is served by a 45 cm ribbon tweeter with a neodymium magnet system. Its sandwich structure is highly rigid to avoid coloration of the sound. The rest of the frequency range is assigned to isodynamic emitter with a membrane area of 0.198 m², operating on proprietary PPBM ( Push Pull Bipolar Magnet ) technology .
The steel and oak construction of the Diptyque DP107 is reminiscent of the old ribbon microphones. They give the speakers more rigidity and the ability to adjust the tilt of the emitters depending on the position of the listeners.
In Europe, a pair of Diptyque DP107 speakers is offered for 5,500 euros .
