Danish brand DALI has unveiled the “zero loss” streaming platform Equi. It is based on proprietary speakers, including the recently announced floorstanding Rubicon 8 C and Oberon Vokal C center channel speakers, and the heart of the system is a Sound Hub wireless preamp with BluOS and HDMI expansion modules.
DALI believes that as it moves to new AV technologies, Equi will become an alternative to traditional multi-channel cable hi-fi or home theater systems. The DALI Equi platform is easy to set up, has a large future-proofed platform and is extremely expandable and scalable by combining different Equi-enabled models.
The HDMI Expansion Module adds new connectivity options (HDMI ARC and eARC) and enables wireless surround sound streaming from your TV.
Dolby and DTS formats up to 7.1 channels are supported. The home theater system can be supplemented with a subwoofer, and thanks to the WSR wireless receiver, the user can use any brand of active subwoofers. A second Sound Hub expansion module, the BluOS NPM-2i with AirPlay 2 support, streams audio from multiple sources to wireless stereo sets or multi-room systems with up to ten speakers.
