Cayin N3Ultra: Digital audio player with JAN6418 tubes

Cayin N3 Ultra , a new digital player, will be launched at CanJam NYC 2024 in New York City.

Cayin N3 Ultra

The N3 Ultra is the second portable product in the Cayin line to use the Gen3 Vacuum Tube Audio Circuit. With a choice of two tube tones, as well as tube tones on all analog outputs, including but not limited to line output, the possibilities for using a vacuum tube setup are expanded to new horizons.

The N3 Ultra’s tube tone circuitry uses a pair of vintage NOS Raytheon JAN6418s. Unlike the N3Pro, the JAN6418’s tube tone is now applied to all FOUR analog outputs: 3.5mm single-ended headphone, 4.4mm balanced headphone, 3.5mm single-ended line out, and 4.4mm balanced line output.

Cayin N3 Ultra

The N3 Ultra will be available in April 2024, and the retail price, full specifications and technical details of the new DAP will be announced by the end of March.
