Bluesound is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the release of a special limited edition of its music streamer Node . The novelty received the suffix X in the name.

The Bluesound Node X network player doesn’t just stand out with its “unique” 10th anniversary silver finish. Bluesound says the Node X sets “a new standard in sound quality and functionality with updated components.”

These upgrades include the use of ESS Technology’s premium ESS 9028Q2M Saber DAC chip, a new headphone amplifier section that uses THX AAA technology to reduce noise and distortion. The manufacturer claims that the use of the ESS Saber DAC allows the Node X streamer to “faultlessly stream” audio to amplifiers or active monitors in high resolution up to 24-bit/192 kHz in various formats, including MQA.

Like the standard model, the Node X features rich connectivity options including HDMI eARC , AirPlay 2 , Bluetooth aptX HD bidirectional support. Naturally, the player works based on the BluOS platform and a proprietary application for mobile gadgets for control.

The Bluesound Node X network streamer is now available for a suggested retail price of $749 . Recall that the base Node model is offered for $549.
Launched for the brand’s 10th anniversary, the Bluesound Node X network streamer will be shown for the first time at the High End Show 2023 in Munich this week.
