Belkin has released its Soundform Connect dongle, a flat black box just over 6cm in size. The new product will add AirPlay 2 support to any audio system that has an analog or digital optical input.
These two connectors (cables were not included in the kit) – TOSLINK and an audio connector designed for a 3.5 mm jack – are located on one end of the device. On the other, there is a mini-USB port for connecting the supplied power adapter.
Soundform Connect works with AirPlay 2 and supports CD-quality sampling rates at 16-bit / 44.1 kHz. Audio streams to your device from iPhones and iPads running iOS 11.4 and iPadOS 11.4 or later, Macs running Catalina and Apple TV running tvOS 11.4. The novelty is backed by a two-year warranty.
The Belkin Soundform Connect is priced at $ 100 in the US.
