Axxess Forté amplifiers unveiled

The Danish company Audio Group Denmark has expanded the list of its brands. Along with the applause of music lovers from all over the world brands Ansuz , Aavik and Børresen , Lars Christensen and Michael Børresen introduced a new brand Axxess , under which the company will produce more “affordable” audio equipment, as far as this term is appropriate for Audio Group Denmark products.

According to the Danes, Axxess products will use technologies and innovations resulting from the development of Ansuz, Aavik and Børresen products. The exchange of knowledge and technology that takes place between these brands is extremely valuable – each brand, by contributing, makes each other better and stronger.

And the brand starts with the Axxess Forté series of amplifiers – network amplifiers at the intersection of advanced technology, ingenious simplicity and strict Danish design. The line consists of models in three levels: Axxess Forté 1, 2 and 3 , equipped with both a network streamer and a DAC unit, along with an integrated amplifier and a headphone amplifier.

Axxess Forté amplifiers use UMAC™ amplification technology developed for Aavik amplifiers. Class D based UMAC technology has much lower high frequency noise and requires less inductive filtering at the output. These advantages provide Axxess Forté amplifiers with a greater damping factor and therefore a significantly higher level of acoustic control.

The DAC built into the Axxess Forté amplifiers uses a proprietary 1-bit conversion circuit that preserves the “analog signature” of the music signal. With fast data processing and noise insensitivity, the Axxess Forté DAC range delivers pure and accurate sound.

Axxess Forté amplifiers are equipped with a network streamer module designed for Aavik branded components. The built-in headphone amplifier operates in pure class A and provides excellent linearity, high gain and low signal distortion.

Ansuz Tesla coil technology has been a product symbol of Audio Group Denmark since 2011. Therefore, it was only natural to incorporate these noise reduction technologies into Axxess Forté amplifiers in order to achieve Audio Group Denmark’s signature characteristics and quality standards.

Handcrafted in Denmark, the aesthetics of the Axxess Forté models make them icons of contemporary Danish hi-fi design. They embody the minimalist form and versatile functionality that are firmly rooted in Audio Group Denmark’s innovative audio approach.

In 2020, the company developed a natural-based composite amplifier housing for the Aavik brand. The use of this material reduces mechanical stress, especially hysteresis, resulting in a significant improvement in sonic performance. The same material is used for the cabinets of the Axxess Forté amplifier series.

Axxess Forté integrated amplifiers will be available from May 2023. In Europe, the suggested retail price for the Axxess Forté 1 is €5,000 . The Axxess Forté 2 amplifier costs 7,500 euros , while the top-end Axxess Forté 3 costs 10,000 euros .

The main technical characteristics of integrated amplifiers of the Axxess Forté series:

  • Output power: 2 x 100W (8 ohm)
  • Digital inputs: 1 x optical Toslink, 1 x coaxial S/PDIF BNC, 1 x USB-B
  • Analog Inputs : 1 x Line RCA
  • Analog outputs: 1 x RCA with preamplifier, 6.3 mm headphone jack
  • Streamer ports : 1 x Ethernet RJ-45, 2 x USB-A
