Stax Spirit S3: Headphones that combine Snapdragon Sound with planar magnetic drivers

The S3 is the first headphone in Edifier's Stax Spirit line of products.

Back in 2012, Edifier became wholly owned by STAX Ltd., and the Stax Spirit S3 “embodies the spirit of STAX craftsmanship” in Edifier products.

This model combines Snapdragon Sound audio technologies with planar magnetic drivers.

Edifier EqualMass™ diaphragm technology combines Audeze Fluxor neodymium magnet structure, 0.5% distortion Uniforce diaphragm and Fazor phase control to faithfully reproduce the original sound.

Qualcomm® aptX™ Voice audio technology significantly improves signal-to-noise ratio, delivering quality voice calls at 32 kHz. Stax Spirit S3 can be connected to two different Bluetooth devices, switching between music, games or phone calls. The headphones will provide 80 hours of playback or 11 hours of playback after a quick 10-minute charge.

Additional equalizer settings, modes, and advanced features can be configured in the Edifier Connect app. The Stax Spirit S3 comes with replaceable lambskin ear pads and breathable mesh ear pads. In addition to wireless Bluetooth 5.2, the Stax Spirit S3 also comes with an Aux-in cable and a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter for wired connections.
