Sony has officially unveiled the fifth generation of its most expensive fully wireless headphones WF-1000XM5 and ratings trough the audiophile community are at the very highest.

Updates have affected almost all elements of the design. The new dynamic driver Dynamic Driver X has a composite diaphragm that combines several different materials. The manufacturer especially emphasizes the improved reproduction of the low-frequency range, which was previously the strong point of the model. The headphones have support for the proprietary format 360 Reality Audio , as well as automatic sound adjustment based on the position of the listener’s head.
