Sennheiser SDW 5016: DECT wireless headphones for professionals

The Sennheiser SDW 5016 are professional grade DECT headsets ideal for call center workers, customer service centers or any position where communication is of vital importance; likewise, they are suitable for conference calls thanks to their pristine audio quality and noise cancellation. They are wireless and very flexible, both in terms of connectivity and comfort, as they are designed to connect to all kinds of devices (softphone, PC, smartphones, tablets) and to adapt to the ergonomic needs of the user.

This is how the Sennheiser SDW 5016 are, comfortable and versatile

These wireless headphones can boast of their flexibility and fit to the user’s ear, since the Flexfit system allows us to choose between 3 ways to wear them: with a headband, with an ear hook or with a neckband . Therefore, we can find the solution that best suits us.

For their part, the ear pads are soft, made of synthetic leather and help to attenuate external noise.

Likewise, they not only adapt to the user, but also adapt to the device with which we are working. According to the manufacturer, they support PCs, landlines, smartphones and also tablets . This flexibility can be maximized by taking advantage of the base station, which allows us to connect wired headphones or a speaker thanks to the USB dongle (included with the purchase).

In this vein, these headphones work with all models of the SDW 5000 series and can be connected to a Sennheiser Bluetooth headset.

Sound and features

The Sennheiser SDW 5016s feature wideband sound that “goes beyond conventional business standards,” so we can expect clear and pristine audio. As if that were not enough, they incorporate  noise cancellation of two microphones , voice detection technology and ActiveGard acoustic shock protection.

Among other highlights, they have an operating range of up to 180 meters and a range of up to 10 hours (in narrow band). Recharging the internal battery is a process of only 1 hour thanks to the fast charge.

Features designed for businesses

Since the Sennheiser SDW 5016 are DECT headsets designed for business people, it is natural to expect features that reinforce this notion. First, they make life easy for IT administrators through the Sennheiser HeadSetup ™ Pro Manager configuration tool  . Second, they are optimized and certified for leading UC brands, such as Skype for Business .

Additionally, they comply with all security standards to ensure that all your company conversations are confidential and  support conference calls with up to 4 handsets using the same base station.

PROS:

  • Three ways to use
  • Long autonomy
