On-ear headphones from Monoprice, the Monolith M1000ANC model, are based on solid 40 mm speakers – the manufacturer promised a full-range sound and, in particular, excellent bass. And also hybrid active noise cancellation, which is ready to reduce interference with music from the environment by a confident 35 dB.
But Monoprice considers the Dirac Virtuo spatial sound technology integrated into the Monolith M1000ANC to be the most interesting advantage of the novelty. “The M1000ANC headphones have been designed to deliver superior sound quality,” said Hobie Sechrest, Monolith Business Unit Manager at Monoprice. “Not only have we achieved this, but we have further expanded their capabilities by teaming up with Dirac to create an immersive and high-quality soundscape.”
Monolith marketers wisely reasoned that “stereo is still the most consumed content. And Dirac Virtuo turns stereo into high quality immersive sound. It is also interesting that in the BES2300Y Bluetooth 5 chipset built into the headphones, support for the AAC codec is disabled – only SBC is left.
The novelty is provided with Qualcomm cVc echo and noise reduction technologies, it will raise the comfort of telephone conversations. The manufacturer emphasized the strength of the folding design and the comfort of the memory foam ear cushions.
The buttons on the right cup are complemented by a touch panel. With ANC turned on, the headphones are ready to work up to 40 hours without interruption (with ANC turned off – one and a half times more). Then five minutes of connecting to a charger via USB-Type C (the cable is included) will add another two hours of autonomy. If there is nowhere to charge, an audio cable with 3.5 mm jacks is also included. All this, together with the headphones, can easily be placed in a carrying bag.
In the US, the Monoprice Monolith M1000ANC headphones cost $130.
