Master & Dynamic MG20: Gaming Headphones with 7.1 Sound Emulation

Master & Dynamic, announcing the MG20, the first gaming headset in its portfolio, remained true to itself: the headset will receive speakers with 50-mm beryllium cones, and in the decoration are used alcantara and lamb leather half-open design). Another convenience is the detachable boom microphone, without which the built-in microphone array comes into play.

Future owners of Master & Dynamic MG20 are promised immersive 7.1 sound. As for the wireless capabilities, the novelty equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 supports Qualcomm aptX HD codecs for music and aptX Low-Latency for games, including mobile. The M&D Connect app works with the MG20 to quickly switch sound profiles.

In the mechanics and construction of the model, anodized aluminum and magnesium are mainly used. This provided an excellent strength-to-weight ratio – the earbuds are promised comfort and durability. The battery will also support long gaming sessions, with the MG20 providing 22 hours of battery life. The head detection function will save battery power when the headphones are not in use: it will automatically turn off.

The MG20 is equipped with a low latency USB-A adapter for connection to a Playstation or PC. The headset easily switches between devices without re-pairing. The Master & Dynamic MG20 Wireless Gaming Headphones will be available on the company’s website from mid-November.

The Master & Dynamic MG20 will cost $ 450.
