The Focal Clear family has been expanded with the Focal Clear MG model. Recall that the parent model Clear appeared about 4 years ago, and we wrote about the previous replenishment of the line, Clear Mg Professional, in February.
The novelty differs from the headphones with the Professional attachment, first of all, in the finish: it is the brown color of the soft surfaces of the headband and ear cushions and the golden design of the diamond-cut metal parts. Brown also predominates in the design of the storage and carrying case.
The technical parameters of the Clear Mg Professional and Clear Mg are similar. Just like all Clears, these are open-type on-ear headphones. The speaker received the same 40mm M-shaped magnesium diaphragm. With an impedance of 55 Ohm, the novelty demonstrates a sensitivity of 104 dB, THD 0.25% and operates in the same range of 5 Hz – 28 kHz.
In addition to the wardrobe trunk, the Clear Mg kit includes two interchangeable cables. The first one is rather suitable for “mobile” use, with a mini-jack connector and a standard 1.2 m length with a 6.35 mm adapter. The second is a 3m cable with a 4-pin XLR connector. Additionally, the set includes a Clear Mg headphone stand, on which the novelty will become a real decoration of the interior.
In the US, the Focal Clear MG headphones cost $ 1,490.
