Effect Audio and Elysian Acoustic Labs have once again joined forces to bring us their latest creation – the Pilgrim: NOIR hybrid headphones. Hailing from Singapore, both brands have established themselves as leaders in their respective fields. Effect Audio is renowned for their top-notch IEM cables, while Elysian Acoustic Labs is highly regarded for their exceptional in-ear monitors. In 2022, they collaborated to release the remarkable Elysian x Effect Audio Gaea headphones, which garnered praise from audiophiles worldwide and remains popular to this day.

Now, these two brands are teaming up once more to unveil another extraordinary in-ear monitor – the Effect Audio x Elysian Acoustic Labs Pilgrim: NOIR. This updated version builds upon the success of the original Elysian Acoustic Labs Pilgrim headphones, promising to deliver an even more impressive listening experience.

Elysian Acoustic Labs x Effect Audio Pilgrim In-Ear Headphones: NOIR

The Pilgrim: NOIR headphones feature a hybrid configuration with four drivers, one of which is a 9.2mm LSR dynamic driver, two SONION BA armature drivers and one Knowles Undamped BA armature driver. Let us remind you that the original Pilgrim is equipped with the same 9.2 mm LSR dynamic driver and three SONION BA armature drivers. That is, in the new model, a new Knowles Undamped BA reinforcement driver was used for high frequencies.

The four emitters are controlled by an advanced four-way crossover. A 9.2mm LSR driver delivers fast, punchy bass, while a SONION 2300 BA delivers rich low-mids, another SONION BA driver delivers high-mids, and a Knowles BA armature driver delivers crystal-clear highs.

Elysian Acoustic Labs x Effect Audio Pilgrim: NOIR features a new Hypercore Twin Thrust Module (HTTM) design architecture. The headphones are equipped with two SONION BA reinforcement drivers operating in a specially manufactured acoustic tube. This provides better midrange reproduction with less distortion and resonant reflection problems at the output.

Elysian Acoustic Labs x Effect Audio Pilgrim In-Ear Headphones: NOIR

Effect Audio has over 15 years of experience developing high quality, premium cables. For the Pilgrim: NOIR headphones, they created a cable with cores made from a special mixture of exotic hybrid materials of palladium, copper and silver. This carefully selected combination of premium wiring has been made to provide quality signal transmission with low internal resistance.

The design of Pilgrim: NOIR headphones can be called minimalistic. The design of the exterior panels is inspired by the radical deconstructivist design of legendary architect Zada Hadid. The serene topography of the hills, each layer of which reflects a feeling of tenderness. The dark matte finish also enhances the look of the pair. Effect Audio has developed a special NOIR variant for its famous Eros S cable. This new cable features all-black sleeves and a distinctive look, enhancing the look of the pair while promising superior sound quality. The cable cores are made of selected high purity silver plated copper. The aluminum surface of the Y-Splitter is machined to give it a brushed texture. The cable is equipped with replaceable ConX and TermX connectors, as well as a plug system.
