Dan Clark Audio Stealth: First closed planars in the AMRS system

The Stealth Closed Planar Headphones have been announced as the next flagship model by Dan Clark Audio. According to the manufacturer, it took four years to develop them, which resulted in “setting a new standard for sound quality and headphone ergonomics.”

The matte black and red Stealth is crafted from carbon fiber, nickel-plated titanium and aluminum in the cups and hinges, with a leather headband and faux suede ear cushions. The headphones inherits the mechanics of the self-adjusting headband from the Aeon 2 , weighs 415 g and fits into a completely compact case.

The 4th generation v-Planar ribbon asymmetric drivers in the Stealth headphones work through the AMRS system. Dan Clark Audio described it as “a patented embedded device that combines waveguides, diffusion control, quarter-wave resonators and Helmholtz resonators into one compact structure.”

These headphones have a declared distortion of less than 0.03% at 1 kHz and 90 dB SPL. The model is handcrafted in the USA (in San Diego, California).

In the US, the Dan Clark Audio Stealth headphones cost $ 4,000.
