Audio-Technica will release wired and wireless versions of the ATH-M50x headphones

For Audio-Technica, the release of multi-colored limited versions of the iconic ATH-M50x headphones has already become a tradition: the first such headphones came out back in 2012, and during this time the company introduced eight color limits. Last year there was a black and purple version, and this year there will be an orange one.

The finish of the limit was chosen, one might say, by the whole world – on its website, Audio-Technica created a survey, where it offered four colors: pink-white, coffee-white, black and black-orange. The latter option received the most votes – and the company has already begun production of test samples. The orange coloring is called “Lantern Glow”.

Both wired and wireless versions of the M50x will be available in cases with bright orange cups. The performance and sound will not change from the color: all the same 45-mm drivers, hinged cups and snug-fitting ear pads.

The Bluetooth version has the same wireless module, which works on the basis of Bluetooth 5.0 and supports aptX, and a battery that will last for 40 hours of continuous operation.

The orange earbuds are slated for release in the summer of 2021. Apparently, the ATH-M50x will cost € 169 and the ATH-M50xBT € 219.
