Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft Gaming, has officially validated the speculation regarding the arrival of Xbox titles on Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2 handheld. This lineup may feature popular games such as Diablo 4 and Halo. The collaboration between Microsoft and Nintendo was announced during an interview with Gamertag Radio that was released last Friday.

Phil Spencer remarked, “I have been in communication with Furukawa-san, the CEO of Nintendo, through email. I extended my heartfelt congratulations and mentioned that I personally favor the larger screen experience. However, I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to support them with our games, as I recognize their significant role in the industry.”

It is worth noting that Nintendo has recently unveiled the Switch 2 portable gaming console, although specifics regarding the hybrid model, which can connect to a television through a docking station, have yet to be disclosed.

A collaboration between Xbox (Microsoft) and Nintendo has been speculated for a while, with initial titles expected to include Diablo 4, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and Microsoft Flight Simulator. Additionally, the Call of Duty series is anticipated to be available on the Switch 2, following Microsoft’s dedication to the Activision Blizzard acquisition.

In February 2024, Microsoft revealed its intention to launch versions of these games for both PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, starting with smaller titles such as Pentiment and Hi-Fi Rush.
