Fans of Half-Life 2 can now experience a heavily upgraded version of Valve’s legendary shooter. Half-Life 2 RTX, a remaster developed by modding team Orbifold Studios with support from NVIDIA, has an official demo available on Steam.
This demo allows players to explore the iconic areas of Ravenholm and Nova Prospekt, which have been completely redesigned with modern graphics technology. The remaster is built using RTX Remix, an NVIDIA tool that enables the implementation of ray tracing, high-resolution textures, realistic reflections, and DLSS, giving the game a stunning visual upgrade while preserving the classic atmosphere.
To run the demo, a powerful PC is required. Minimum recommendations include:
- Processor: Intel i5-8600 / Ryzen 5 3600
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Graphics card: GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or better
- Storage space: 50 GB
