Retro Watch: A watch that turns into a Game Boy-style gaming console

The Kickstarter platform continues to raise funds for an interesting gadget called Retro Watch.

What it Retro Watch

This is a wristwatch with an unusual design that, when unfolded, turns into a kind of Game Boy analogue. The game console allows you to play 8- and 16-bit games.

Retro Gaming Watch is equipped with two displays: a small external one for displaying the time and an internal LCD with a diagonal of 1.54 inches, a resolution of 320×320 pixels and an image refresh rate of 60 Hz.

The gadget also received a Renesas/Dialog DA14706 chip with a 160 MHz application processor and two ARM Cortex-MD processors for sensors and Bluetooth. In addition, there is 1.5 MB of RAM, 8 MB of external QSPI RAM and a battery that provides up to 2 days of battery life in smartwatch mode or several hours of gaming.

The Retro Gaming Watch can be ordered on Kickstarter for $159. But keep in mind that deliveries are only scheduled for November 2024.
